Arabia Runo Summer Ray The story of Arabia’s Runo tableware collection continues on the threshold of summer. The vibrant fantasy flora drawn by ceramic artist Heini Riitahuhta sprawl across the new Summer Ray dishes. They turn a table setting into visual poetry. Runo brings to life Arabia’s strong decorative tradition, in which the artist’s vision is transferred to ceramic items as a rich, surface-filling element. The Runo collection was launched in 2009. Three giant mosaic flowers in the garden at Helsinki Art & Design City.   Ceramic artist and designer Heini Riitahuhta created three colorful mosaic roses on our lawn, which form the work Arabian Flower. The roses consist of unique colored pieces of pottery of different colors. The material and design language refer to the Arabian factory. The roses can be seen from the windows in the yard, but they also serve as seating and are an ideal place for people to meet and for children to play. Life of Heini Riitahuhta   Heini Riitahuhta (1975) is a ceramic artist and a designer. Her distinctive style has brought vibrant, floral patterns to Arabia products for more than 2 decades. She is one of the most internationally recognised artists of Finnish contemporary ceramic art.  She got her first touch of clay in her teenage years during an art school class in California where she was living with her family. Kukkiva maa

The core theme of the Kukkiva Maa installation is its combination of white porcelain and cobalt blue. Art tiles have been designed and ordered just for this piece, already by themselves impressive ceramic elements. In the intact walls of Muuntamo, you can find big tiles which are covered with flower patterns hand-painted by Heini.
