Kukkiva maa

The core theme of the Kukkiva Maa installation is its combination of white porcelain and cobalt blue. Art tiles have been designed and ordered just for this piece, already by themselves impressive ceramic elements. In the intact walls of Muuntamo, you can find big tiles which are covered with flower patterns hand-painted by Heini. A collection of student artworks have been transferred by Heini to the space’s door frames and surrounding tiles. 

The art work has two faces: the flowers of the students - the makers of the future - are looking away from the school. On the other hand, the world gets a glimpse into the school’s world through Heini’s flowers.
